Herbert Daniel Jones

Herbert Daniel (Dan) Jones   Mr. Herbert Daniel (Dan) Jones, 52, of Phila. Died suddenly Friday, August 6th, 2010 at his residence.   Mr. Jones was born in Racine, WI on May 28, 1958, the son of Herbert Morton and the late Gertrude O. McKeon Jones. .   He served in the U.S. Navy as a GMM2 until 1982 when he received an honorable Discharge, as a gunners mate. He received a good conduct award and two "E" ribbons for his services aboard the USS Mahan. .      He was a Machinist at Everite Machines until being laid off in 2009.   He was a member of the William D. Oxley A.L. Post #133   Loving father of Jaclyn Jones, Loving Grandfather of Cody Bachmann and Olivia Riddagh.  He is survived by his dad Herbert M. Jones and Step Mother Jeanne Davies Jones,  3 sisters; Carol Jones Murray, Janet Jones Reed and Nancy Jones, 2 brothers; Thomas Jones and David Jones.     Family will receive Relatives & Friends Monday August 16, 2010 at 12 Noon  at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135.   Religious Service at the Walter J. Meyers FH at 1 PM.   A luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the William D.
