Hugh Douglas MacEachern passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Wayne, PA. He was 83. Mr. MacEachern was an executive for TV Guide. He was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Wayne, PA. Hugh was also a member of the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company, where he was a past president and treasurer. He was a car enthusiast who also enjoyed golf, deep sea fishing, and all sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. Hugh was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 13, 1932, he was a son of the late John and Margaret (McCormick) MacEachern. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 64 years, Margaret (Pawley) MacEachern; a son, Paul MacEachern of Bridgeport, PA; two daughters, Carolyn Schwerdtfeger and her husband, Paul, of Palm Harbor, FL and Lauren MacEachern of Bridgeport, PA; five grandchildren: Kristen, Brian, Megan, Michael and Jessica; one great-grandson, Aiden; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Donald; and one sister, Jean Magnant. Relatives & friends are invited to Hugh’s Funeral Mass at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 50 W. Walker Rd., Wayne, PA on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00 am. His viewing is on Monday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hugh's memory to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214.
