Hugh G. Sheridan

January 28, 1927 — July 30, 2015

Hugh G. Sheridan, 88, of Eagleville, PA passed away Thursday, July 30th, 2015 peacefully, at The Wayne Center in Wayne, PA.   Hugh was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on January 28, 1927, a son of the late Dorothy (Gus) and Hugh A. Sheridan. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Sheridan and Denny Sheridan, and two sisters, Anna and Marie.   Hugh attended Bryn Mawr Schools. He served in World War II in the US Coast Guard aboard Alpha Mayo 125 (1940/1942).  He was the long term owner of Gateway Disposal and a true TROOPER BOY.   Hugh was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He loved spending Sundays with his grandson Dennis.  He loved Eagles Football, holiday dinners with his family, he loved animals and cared for a lot of strays in the neighborhood. Hugh leaves behind a wife Marie (Shope) Sheridan of Eagleville, two sons Barry Sheridan of Blue Bell and Tim (Kelly) Sheridan of Collegeville, a Grandson Dennis Sheridan of Collegeville, two sisters Helen Burns (Jim) of PA and Joan Sheridan and many nieces and nephews and friends.   He will be deeply missed. Love you Pops and you will be forever in our hearts. Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Thursday 10-10:50 AM and a Religious Service at 11 AM at the Green Tree Church of The Brethren 1078 Egypt Rd Oaks PA 19456.  His Interment will follow in Green Tree Church Cemetery Oaks, PA.  In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Montgomery County SPCA at 19 E Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428 Services entrusted to Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home.  Condolences may be made at www.Meyers FH.com   Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Thursday 10-10:50 AM and a Religious Service at 11 AM at the Green Tree Church of The Brethren 1078 Egypt Rd Oaks PA 19456.  His Interment will follow in Green Tree Church Cemetery Oaks, PA.
