Ida M. (Torrisi) Martino

Ida M. (Torrisi) Martino passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's residence in Jeffersonville, PA. She was 80. Mrs. Martino worked as a cook for Holy Saviour Church in Norristown, PA, until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of Holy Saviour Church, Norristown. Ida helped with many functions with her late husband at the Norriton Fire Co. Born in Norristown, PA on November 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Mauro and Anna (Marino) Torrisi. She was the wife of the late Anthony D. "Tip" Martino, who died in 1995. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Anthony D. Martino, Jr. of Jeffersonville, PA; a daughter, Margaret A. "Marge" Cagliola and her husband, Samuel, of Jeffersonville, PA; three grandchildren: Amy Smith and her husband, Jason, Steven Cagliola and his wife, Nicole and Nathan Cagliola and his wife, Kaylie; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose DeCinque of Gilbertsville, PA and Lucille Andrzejczyk of Douglassville, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip Torrisi and Mauro Torrisi, Jr. Relatives & friends are invited to Ida's Funeral Mass at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA on Tuesday, June 18, 2014 at 10:00am. Her viewings will be Monday evening from 6 to 8pm; also Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:20am, both at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405.
