Ilona E Konkoly

Konkoly, Ilona of Audubon, PA and resident of Shannondell , 95, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016. She was the devoted wife of predeceased Leslie E. Konkoly and loving mother of Leslie F. Konkoly and wife, Jane, of Eagleville and Eva Hess of York. A dedicated grandmother to Bryan & Robyn Hess, Greg Hess, Scott Hess, Michelle Konkoly, Karen Konkoly, and Abby Konkoly. Born in Debrecen, Hungary, she emigrated to the US at age 29 and was married for 49 years. She worked as a translator, proofreader, and bookkeeper, and loved languages, numbers, entertaining and organizing. Ilona was a staunch Republican and an avid & gifted bridge player. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 in the Movie Theatre at Ashcroft Hall, Shannondell at Valley Forge, 10000 Shannondell Dr., Audubon, Pa.
