Irene J. (Onufer) Goreski

Irene J. (Onufer) Goreski passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 83. Mrs. Goreski was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as an assembler for the former Johnson & Johnson in Bridgeport, PA and Trooper. PA. Irene was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Swedesburg, PA and a lifetime member of their Rosary Society. She loved music and was wonderful with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Born in Allentown, PA on May 9, 1927, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Miklus) Onufer. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 62 years, Anthony J. Goreski, Sr.; three sons, Anthony J. "Sonny" Goreski, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Audubon, PA, Edward M. Goreski of Clearwater, FL and Stephen G. Goreski and his wife, Rosemary of E. Norriton, PA; two daughters, Barbara Consalvo and her husband, Simon of Port St. Lucie, FL and Mary Ann Fiorentino of Bridgeport, PA; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Onufer and his wife, Bess of Emmus, PA and Edward Onufer of Lehigh Valley, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianne Schwartz. Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Swedesburg, PA 19405 on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 10:30am. Officiating will be the Rev. Andrew D. McCormick, Pastor. Her viewing will be Monday morning from 9 to 10:20am, at the church. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Irene's memory to Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Swedesburg, PA 19405.
