Irene A. (Shegas) Lovas

Irene A. (Shegas) Lovas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 85. Mrs. Lovas was one of the founding members of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA, as well as a member of the church's Woman's Guild and Altar Society. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ on April 28, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Sorocin) Chigas. She was the wife of the late Steven "Ted" Lovas, who died in 2002. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Corinne L. Lovett of Alexandra, VA; a great-grandson, Pierce Lovett; a brother, Frank Shegas and his wife, Mary of Colonia, NJ; many nephews and nieces, especially Marlene Clairmont of Berwyn, PA, Janice Carney of Solebury, PA, Diane Taylor of Indiatlantic, Fl and Christine Bradshaw of Southbury, CT; and many great-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Alicia Lovett and Steven Lovett; 4 brothers: Michael, Steven, John and Joseph; and 3 sisters: Margaret, Rose and Paula.A Funeral Mass will be held at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church.
