James J. Berry    James J. Berry, 87, of Tacony in Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 peacefully   James was born in Elkton, VA on November 10, 1926, a son of the late Nellie (Jenkins) and Frederick Berry. He served in the U.S. Army as a Pvt. in WW II with his two brothers Fred and Robert.  He earned the Army of Occupation Medal and the WW II Victory Medal.  He is the beloved husband of the late Helen T. (Cantz).  Loving father of Susan Burke (Robert), James J. (Maryann), Timothy, Eileen Smith (John), Thomas (Mary), Helen Brzycki (Terrance), Joan Frunzi (Rick) and John Berry.  Dear brother of Joan Nejman and the late Frederick and Robert Berry. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday 7-9 pm and Saturday 9-10am at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135. Religious service Saturday 10am. Interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
