James A. Corliss

James A. Corliss passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at his residence in Pottstown, PA. He was 88. Mr. Corliss was previously a resident of Bridgeport and Conshohocken. He worked for over 35 years as the head diesel mechanic for the Tose Trucking Company, until his retirement in the mid 90’s. James was a member of Bridgeport #1 Fire Police. He loved fishing and camping, and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. James was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. James was born in Rochester, PA on June 19, 1930, one of 13 children of the late Roy and Edna (Young) Corless. He was the husband of the late Ann F. (Erb) Corliss, who died in 2002. Surviving is his loving family including 9 sons: James E. (Patricia) of Valley Forge, Michael J. (Jayne) of Trappe, Stephen C. (Fran) of Limerick, Thomas R. (Natalie) of Pottstown, Donald D. (Kathryn) of Chesterbrook, Brian P. (Kathleen) of Blue Bell, William J. of Exeter, Barry D. of Pittsburgh and Gary D. (Robyn) of Glenside; 3 daughters: Karen Drobek (& Sue) of Pottstown, Betty Ann (Gregory) Pierce of Bechtelsville and Selena Ryan of Pittsburg; 26 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to James’ viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 10 to 11:20 am; with a Prayer Service at starting at 11:30 am. Interment in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.
