James "Dave" David Johnson

James “Dave” David Johnson passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA at the age of 77. Born on November 26, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late David Reed and Helen Margaret (nee Segan) Johnson.

Dave was born and raised in Philadelphia. He attended La Salle College High School, class of 1965. He then went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from La Salle University in 1973. Dave worked for many years at Metabo Corporation in West Chester, PA as their comptroller. He was an avid golfer and has spent the last 15 years living in the Villages in Florida with his wife, Carolyn, which they enjoyed very much.

Dave is survived by his loving family including his wife, Carolyn (Atkins) Johnson; two daughters, Debbie McGrath and Kim Campbell (Robert); his son, James Johnson (Marci); two step-daughters, Diane Widdop (Barbara Nevin) and Linda Widdop (Connie Chronister); his sister, Catherine Giarusso (Mary Louise Upshaw); four grandchildren, Meaghan McGrath (fiancé Luigi Berardi), Brendan McGrath, Skylar Johnson, and Kyle Johnson; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Johnson.

Dave’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 10am to 11am, with his memorial service beginning at 11:00am. Inurnment with committal service will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA and then reception to follow.
