James M. 'Jimmy' Ferris

James M. "Jimmy" Ferris passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 61. Mr. Ferris was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He was a retired truck driver for US Roofing, and was a member of the former Teamsters Local 470. Jimmy was a past president of Rolling Thunder, Chapter 1, PA.Mr. Ferris was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era. He served as a sergeant from 1971 to 1977, in Germany and Vietnam.Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 7, 1951, he was a son of the late Francis and Frances (Johnson) Ferris. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 29 years, Loretta F. (Picariello) Ferris; a daughter, Tonya L. Robbins and her husband, Robert, of Pottstown, PA; two granddaughters, Montana and Madison; a brother, Francis Ferris and his wife, Rita, of Lansdale, PA; three sisters: Margaret Middleton of Lansdale, PA, Claire Ziejewski of E. Norriton, PA and Eileen Ciccarone and her husband, Michael, of Norristown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Davies.Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
