James E. Hamblen

James E. Hamblen passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. He was 76. Mr. Hamblen was a resident of Wayne PA. He was a Vice President and Treasurer at Smith-Kline-Beckman (now Glaxo-Smith-Kline) in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Hamblen was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.Born in Big Stone Gap, VA on July 30, 1934, he was a son of the late Ray and Elizabeth (Huff) Hamblen. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Judith A. (Edwards) Hamblen; a daughter, Tara Elizabeth Hamblen of Wayne, PA; a brother, Robert Hamblen and his wife, Dena of Virginia; and two nephews, Scott & Steven Hamblen. A Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 2:00pm. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday afternoon from 1 to 1:50pm, at the funeral home.
