James Herbert Haupt, 84, of Norristown, PA, passed away on August 22, 2025. Born on February 1, 1941, in Baltimore, he was a devoted husband to Patricia and a loving father to Michelle and Michael.
Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent over 40 years working as a manager for K-mart, where he was known for his many accomplishments. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions.
Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He enjoyed sports and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. This love for sports was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on us that will never fade. His devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren was remarkable and only grew stronger as time passed.
He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Patricia Ann (Brooks) Haupt, his daughter Michelle Haupt, son Michael Haupt, daughter-in-law Rachael Haupt, and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Morgan, and Taylor, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A Public Viewing will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Thursday, August 28th at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 North Park Ave. in Trooper, PA. A Religious Service will be held at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
His Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Norristown, PA.

We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
