James "Jim" Evans Ronan, Sr.

James “Jim” Evans Ronan, Sr. passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 in Philadelphia, PA. He was 47 years old. Jim was a resident of King of Prussia, PA and worked in construction for various companies including Glasgow Inc., Anderson Construction Co., and the Refinery in Philadelphia. Jim received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Philadelphia University with honors. He was a true outdoorsman and loved hiking, fishing, and camping. He hiked the Appalachian Trail with his brother, John, and Mount Washington with an REI group. Jim was an amazing Uncle. He loved watching the Phillies with his nephew, Ben, and was so proud of each and every one of his nieces and nephews. Jim was a loving father to his children, Julianna and Jimmy. He always looked forward to spending time with them. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking. They learned a lot about nature from Jim. They walked the trails together, collecting rocks, pinecones, and laughing together making great memories. They loved spending many hours at Knoebels and taking trips to Lancaster. Overall, Jim was a selfless person who loved to help others. He used to collect food and take it to homeless people in Norristown. He would truly give anything he had to help others.

Born in Norristown, PA on June 21, 1977, he was a son of Christina “Chris” T. (nee Terrell) and Robert Evans Ronan.

In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his daughter, Julianna Jaymes Ronan; his son, James Evans Ronan, Jr.; sister, Ruthanne R. Gutkowski (Brian); two brothers, Robert T. Ronan (Sharon) and John L. Ronan; nieces/nephews: Benjamin, Alexander “Zander”, Christina, Baleigh, and Robert; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.

Services will be private for the family.
