James C. “Jim” Keil passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Barclay Friends in West Chester, PA. He was 85. Mr. Keil was a resident of West Chester, PA and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. He was the owner and operator of Keil Welding in King of Prussia. Jim was a former member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia and Sacred Heart Church in Royersford, PA. He was a former member and a past president of the King of Prussia Fire Company, and a life member of the Neffs Mills Hunting Club. Jim was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1952 to 1954. Born in King of Prussia, PA on July 3, 1931, he was a son of the late Henry A. and Catherine (McLaughlin) Keil. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 60 years, Patricia A. (O’Hara) Keil; three sons: James C. Keil, Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Chevy Chase, MD, Michael P. Keil and his wife, Marie, of King of Prussia, PA and Robert J. Keil of Aliso Viejo, CA; a daughter, Kathleen Keil of Aliso Viejo, CA; nine grandchildren: Emily, Sarah, James, Rita, Danielle, Joseph, McKenna, Adam and Shane; a sister, Mary Jean Weis of Allentown, PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Keil and William Keil; and two sisters, Frances Holland and Catherine “Kitty” Chesney. Relatives & friends are invited to Jim’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:30 am. His viewing is Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:20 am, at the church. Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to Barclay Friends, 700 N. Franklin St., West Chester, PA 19380.
