James F. Lardon, Sr., 83, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022 while in the company of family, at his residence. Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 18, 1938, a son of the late Lillian (Brown) and August J. Lardon, Sr. He was the brother of John and the late Hannah and the late August Lardon, Jr. Jim was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Wyremski) Lardon. Jim graduated from North Catholic HS in 1956 and was a member of St. Jerome Church Phila, PA. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a PFC from 1961-1963 and served the City of Philadelphia as a Firefighter for 23 years. Besides his beloved wife Pat, he is also survived by his loving children; Kathleen Clothier (Kevin), James Jr. (Emerita), Christine Lardon and Eileen Lardon (William McNamee); brother-in-law to Maryellen Cekot (Peter) and Ann Buchanan (William); his devoted Grandchildren: Christopher, Brian, Jessica, Alyssa, Mary Kate, Hannah and Emalie. He is also survived by four Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 9:15 to 10:45 AM and a Funeral Mass at 11 AM, both on Monday, February 7, 2022 at St. Jerome Church 8100 Colfax St. in Phila, PA . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the IAFF Local 22 Widows Fund, 415 N 5th St, Phila, PA 19123. His interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Services entrusted to the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home and condolences may be made at www.meyersfh.com
