James Thomas Mcbride

James T. McBride, 62, of Abington, PA passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health. Jim was born in Philadelphia on September 28, 1961, the son of the late Helen Marie (Beatty) and Joseph Francis McBride. He had a remarkable 34 year career with WAWA, working in locations in Eastern PA and south Jersey, retiring a few years ago. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved watching F1 racing, being a 30 plus year Eagles season ticket holder, going to Phillies games and concerts with family and friends. He transitioned well into retirement by spending winters traveling to Florida before he headed north to the Philly area when the weather got warmer.

Jim is the beloved brother of Joe McBride (Donna), Bill McBride (Chris), Anne Hill (Jeff), Helen Martin (Tim) and Rose Thornton (Jeff). He was preceded in death by his older brother Walter. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; Barbara, Michelle & Daniel McBride; Wesley & Ben McBride; Erin, Colleen, Jen & Marie Martin; Patrick & Stephen Thornton and Kelly Day. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 9:15 to 10:15 AM on Wednesday, June 5th at Immaculate Conception BVM Church 604 West Ave in Jenkintown, PA. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. His interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
