James M. Mccabe

James M. McCabe passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. He was 84. Mr. McCabe was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a production manager for Nelson's Ice Cream in Royersford, PA. James was a founding member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was a small game hunter, an avid fly fisherman and a youth coach for different sports in King of Prussia. Mr. McCabe was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.Born in Sunbury, PA on January 20, 1929, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Snyder) McCabe. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 62 years, Theresa A. (Mulkern) McCabe; 4 sons: Jim McCabe and his wife, Velia, of N. Wales, PA, Jeff McCabe and his wife, Leigh, of King of Prussia, PA Gary McCabe and his wife, Donna, of Lower Providence, PA and Glenn McCabe and his wife, Sandra, of Downingtown, PA; a daughter, Mary Beth Capaldo and her husband, Andrew, of Phoenixville, PA; 17 grandchildren: Meghan (Rob), Jimmy, Elyse, Joseph (Angela), Christopher, Katie, Melissa, Natalie (Jean), Jacqueline, Lauren, Gary, Daniel (Maggie), Jaime, Gregory (Erica), Regina, Andrew and Julianne; 5 great-grandchildren: Molly, Maggie, Sam, Murphy and Mac; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: John, George and William McCabe. Relatives & friends are invited to James' Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00 am. His viewings will be Sunday evening from 5 to 8:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA; also Monday morning from 10 to 10:50 am, at the church.
