James Mcerlean

James McErlean, 92, born in County Derry, Northern Ireland passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018 at his residence. Born on September 17, 1925, the son of the late Brigid ‘Carmichael’ and Henry Hugh. He is also predeceased by his siblings Michael Patrick, Henry Hugh, Charles, Nan and Eugene. James Emigrated from Ireland in 1955 and became a self-employed Master Plumber. He moved to Jenkintown in 1967. He was an avid hunter, bowler, golfer, and enjoyed travelling throughout the United States. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Margaret ‘O’Kane’ McErlean. His loving children Bernadette Kobol (Michael), Jim (Danielle), Brendan (Karen McGrath), Maureen Doherty (Paul) and Geraldine Groves (David): his devoted grandchildren: Colleen, Rachel, Kyle, Kiera, Gavin and Declan, and his sister Brigid McErlean. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 9- 10:15 AM and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Friday April 20, 2018, both at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 602 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046.
