James Parker

James E. Parker Jr. July 19, 2021, peacefully, Known by ‘Sonny’ by those who knew him well was born in Abington, PA on July 13, 1941 at Abington Hospital. Sonny was preceded in death by his mother Mary House and father James E. Parker Sr. Sonny was raised in Philadelphia in his early life, then moved to Jenkintown PA to live with his Grandparents whom raised him into the kind, caring and loving man he was. He attended the Jenkintown School System and Salem Baptist Church. He had worked many ‘good jobs’, but ultimately retired from Merck, Sharp & Dohme after 37 years of service. He was very proud of being a Mason. He was well liked by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish, his wife of 25 years, Alma Parker. Together they had 3 sons, Jimmy III, William (Petra) & George (Rachelle), 8 Grandchildren: Dominick, Sr., Aischa, Jasmine, Roman, Lexus, Dezarae, Ciara & Bryce; Two Great Grandchildren: Dominic, Jr. and Summer and other relatives and many, many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on Saturday July 24, 2021 at 10 AM at the Joseph J.
