James Remolde

James Remolde, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by his beloved family. Jim was resident of Audubon for 45 years and recently retired to Phoenixville. He graduated from Murrell Dobbins Technical High School, where he was on the varsity football, track & field, and swimming teams. Jim served in the U.S. Air Force 36th Air Police Squadron K-9 Unit from 1963 to 1967. He was instrumental in starting Norristown Police Department’s K-9 Unit in 1969. Jim was a mechanic by trade and worked at First Quality in King of Prussia, PA, for over 25 years before retiring. Jim enjoyed riding his Harley, golfing, painting, and drawing. He was also a member of Bud’s Bar Pool League for many years. He loved to cook and listen to “Sundays with Sinatra.” He was a great dancer, the life of the party, and he had an infectious laugh. Jim was a patriot and enjoyed decorating his house and vehicles for patriotic holidays. Most of all, he truly enjoyed time with his family. Born in Philadelphia on October 1, 1945, he was a son of the late Francis and Eleanor (Stewart) Remolde. Jim is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 46 years, Linda (Fleming) Remolde; their children, Stacey Fonash (T.J.), Dustin Remolde (Catherine), Daniel Remolde (Kelly), and Katrina Remolde (Ryan Hickey); two grandsons, Connor and Casey Fonash; siblings, Dorothy Park (Thomas) and Richard Remolde (Agnes); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, Matthew, and Daniel; and a sister, Eleanor Remolde. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim’s Life Celebration on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:30 AM at VFW Post 1564, 200 Starr Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
