James L. 'Jim' Schloth

November 24, 1960 — December 4, 2012

James Lee "Jim" Schloth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 52. Mr. Schloth was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for over 25 years, out of the King of Prussia office. Jim was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. He was a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School, Class of 1978. He was an avid Philly sports fan and a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed coaching youth sports teams. Jim was a handyman who loved gardening and cooking, and most of all, he was a family man. Born in Lower Merion Twp., PA on November 24, 1960, he was the son of Joan T. (Lee) Schloth and the late Edward C. Schloth, former deacon at St. Augustine R.C. Church. Surviving is his loving family including his mother; his wife of 13 years, Debra L. "Deb" (Kelly) Schloth; three sons: James L. Schloth and his wife, Danielle, Jeffrey L. Schloth and Justin E. Schloth; two daughters, Jordan L. Schloth and Jordan L. Sipe; two brothers, Edward C. Schloth, III and his wife, Karolee and Gregory E. Schloth and his wife, Jennifer; five sisters: Cathy Schloth, Mary G. Regan and her husband, Matt, Eileen M. McLaughlin and her husband, Guy, Theresa M. Allerton and her husband, Daniel and Jeannine M. Huntzinger; and many, many nephews and nieces. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3 to 6:00 pm; and also on Monday morning, December 10, 2012 from 9 to 9:50 am. Followed by Jim's Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the Lung Cancer Research Fund, c/o Natalie Reznik Penn Medicine Development, Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
