Jane "Bubby" I. (Gambone) Hanson

Jane I. “Bubby” (Gambone) Hanson passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023 at her daughters residence in Limerick, PA. She was 84. Jane was a member of Visitation BVM Church in Eagleville, PA. Jane wore many hats over her lifetime, farmers daughter, operator at Bell Telephone, hairdresser, waitress, hostess, housewife, caretaker, but the hat she wore the most was mother. She was a mother not just to her four children; she was a mother to all those who needed one.

Born in Norristown, PA on November 25, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Charles “Hap” and Philomena (Bello) Gambone. Jane was the wife of the late Norman James Hanson Sr.

Surviving is her loving family including three sons, Daniel (Karen) Hanson, Norman (Barbara) Hanson and Brian (Lea) Hanson; a daughter, Jacqueline (Steve) Knerr; twelve grandchildren: Stevie, Savannah (Justin), Spencer, Brittany, Norman Jr., Noel (Gary), Barbie (Alex), Johnny (Kailey), Ivana (Jaevan), Brian Jr., Amelia, and Maya, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by 5 brothers: her twin brother Jack, Charles “Buster”, Joe, Tony and Raymond and 4 sisters: Fran, Flo, Terry, and Sandy.

Jane’s family will receive relatives and friends at Visitation BVM Parish in the upper church, 196 N. Trooper Rd. Eagleville, PA on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 8:30-10:15am with her Funeral Mass starting at 10:30am. Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
