Jane Rea Stearns

Jane Rea Stearns, age 90, died February 02, 2017. Widow of Frank Rockefeller Stearns. Mrs. Stearns was born September 02, 1926, in Syracuse, N.Y. to Leon Guy and Edith Minnie Rea. She attended Syracuse University where she met her husband, whom she married in 1950. She was active in her church, St. James Lutheran, doing volunteer work. Jane also volunteered at Pottstown Hospital. She enjoyed Bridge, reading, traveling, and most of all swimming. She is survived by 4 children, Paul R. Stearns of Broomall, Pa., Frank J. Stearns of Elverson, Pa., Nancy J. Repsik of Boyertown, Pa., and Laurie A. Maher of Gilbertsville, Pa. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10-11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd. Limerick, PA 19468. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church in Limerick, PA. Arrangements entrusted to Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home.
