Janet E. O'Donnell

Janet E. (McMichael) O'Donnell passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her residence in Mont Clare, PA. She was 74. Mrs. O'Donnell was formerly of Norristown, PA. She worked for the former Bell Telephone in Norristown during the 1960’s. Janet was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown. She enjoyed crafting and being the score keeper for the Norristown Maenner-Chor Dart League for over 40 years. Born in Norristown, PA on December 9, 1942, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Katherine (George) McMichael. She was the wife of the late Thomas C. O’Donnell, who died in 1980. Surviving is her loving family including her 5 children: W. Paul O'Donnell of Norristown, PA, Janet (Bob) Desrochers of Franklin, NH, Susan (Steve) Matey of W. Norriton, PA, Thomas (Lil) O'Donnell of E. Norriton, PA and Linda O'Donnell (fiancé, Mike Floyd) of Exeter, PA; 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Christopher, John, Frank, Mike, Heather, Shawn, Kristyn, Ryan and Connor; 9 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Katherine Eckman, Dolores Jenkins and Dorothy Mitchell. Relatives & friends are invited to Janet’s Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown, PA on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:30 am. Her viewing is Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:15 am, at the church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet’s memory to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown, PA 19401.
