Janet R. (Gerhard) Costello passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Providence Place in Collegeville Pa. She was 94. Janet was a resident of King of Prussia, PA and was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a clerk for the Upper Merion Twp. Library for over 20 years until she was 86, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Upper Merion Twp. Janet loved to spend time with her family gathering for holidays, Sunday dinners and birthday celebrations. We will all cherish these memories.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa on January 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nettie (Brothers) Gerhard. Janet was the wife of the late John “Jake” T. Costello who died in 2010.
Surviving is her loving family including 3 daughters, Janet Moser and her husband, Joseph, Barbara Dougherty her husband, Reinoehl, and Sharon Doherty and her husband, John: 7 grandchildren: Joseph (Amanda), Jennifer, Reinoehl (Jennifer), Kelly, Brendan (Kaitlyn), Devin, and Erin (Ryan); 4 great-grandchildren: JoyElla, Savannah, Abigail, and Ellie; and many other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Gerhard
Relatives and friends are invited to Janet’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb Street (Route 202), Bridgeport, PA on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with her Funeral Service starting at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, W. Norriton Twp. PA
