Janet B. Stratton

Janet (Brenner) Robinson Stratton, age 93, died on May 27, 2016, at her home in Norristown. Born on June 22, 1922, in North Wales, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Elsie (Rowan) Brenner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Brenner Stocker, and her husbands, Carl A. Robinson (1967) and Bruce D. Stratton (1987). As a homemaker in Cecil County MD, she was active in the Cecil Co. Library association, the Historical Society and the PTA. She served as the President of each and wrote a weekly column for the local paper. In the 1950’s she, along with Patricia DuPont and Dickie Cashel, established the Fair Hill Pony Club. From 1967 to 1978 she worked as Head Receptionist for the DuPont Co. in Newark, DE. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family. Janet is survived by her daughter, Carol Zecha; her son, Jay Robinson; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held at a time to be determined by her family.
