Janice Viducich (née Colonese), 89, of Audubon, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 17.
Born June 24, 1936, in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Eleanor and Frank Colonese, Janice graduated from A.J. Demarest High School in 1953 and married John Viducich on May 23, 1959. Together, they raised three daughters.
Janice loved to read (Jane Austen and James Mitchner were favorite authors), sing (in the car and later, with the Shannondell Singers), and dance with John (often in the kitchen while doing the dishes). She was a wonderful storyteller, keeping her daughters and grandchildren entertained, retelling a movie she’d watched or a novel she’d read.
Long before people started using the word “elevate,” Janice elevated weeknight dinners, minor holidays, and even picnics with tablecloths, napkins, and candles. She truly celebrated life.
Janice is survived by her devoted husband John, her daughters Maryellen (and Shane), Francine, and Johnna (and Dante). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Erin, Vincent, Victor, Sophie, Alex, Samantha, and Victoria, as well as her three great- grandchildren, Virgil, Violet, and Rand, and her extended family and friends.
The family will gather privately this summer to celebrate her life. Instead of sending flowers, the family encourages well-wishers to think of Janice whenever they see yellow roses, her favorite.
