Jean A. (Patriquin) Hjorth Friedman passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 74. Jean was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She was a licensed Social Worker receiving her Bachelors from the University of Massachusetts and her Masters from Columbia University. Jean worked for numerous companies before opening her own practice, Jean Hjorth LSW in King of Prussia and was a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She was a member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia, PA, where she was a church deacon and long-time member of the choir. She enjoyed singing soprano, playing the piano, dancing, traveling, and doing crossword puzzles. Jean was a member of a local knitting group. Born in Wakefield, MA on November 2, 1946, she was a daughter of the late William and June (Collins) Patriquin. Surviving are her loving family including her husband, Joseph A. Friedman; a son, Erik Hjorth (Christine); a daughter, Kira O'Brien (Colin); 5 grandchildren: Emily, Conner, Caitlin, Gavin, and Claire; a brother, Doug Patriquin (Anne); and a sister, Laurie Muise (Gary). Jean’s viewing will be at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia, PA at 10:00 am. Due to Covid restrictions, occupancy will be limited. A Graveside Service will be held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA on Saturday at 11:15 am, relatives and friends are invited to attend. Social distancing and masks are required for all services. If you are unable to attend, her viewing and services will be live steamed.
