Jean C. Smith

Jean C. (Collins) Smith passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at Manatawny Manor in East Coventry Twp., PA. She was 88. Mrs. Smith was a former resident of King of Prussia, PA. Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport, where she served as a deacon and she was a member of their choir. She also worked for the Upper Merion School District for several years in the cafeteria. Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 18, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Lydia (Schmidt) Collins. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Smith, who died in 2000. Surviving is her loving family including 4 daughters: Linda J. Olney and her husband, Robert, of Boyertown, PA, Vivian J. Smith and her husband, Daniel, of Douglasville, PA, Janet E. Bosco and her husband, Nicholas, of Birdsboro, PA and Charlene M. Healy and her husband, Thomas, of Bridgeport, PA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 nephew, Walter and 1 niece, Marian. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jackie and Edward Collins. Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
