Jeannette P. Rawls In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2-3 God in his infinite wisdom called from labor to rest on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021. Jeannette P. Rawls, beloved wife of Bobbie V. Rawls and mother of Jeffery Oliver Pierce, Gregory L. Pierce, Steven Elwood Rawls and Lori Ann Parker, passed peacefully at Luther Woods Nursing Home in Hatboro at 79 years-young. Jeannette was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on September 15, 1941ー a daughter of the late Ethel Virginia (Timbers) and Edward Homer Bailey Sr.ー joining her siblings Mary Virginia, Edward Homer Jr., Robert Henry, Anna Marie and Patricia Clarice. She attended George Washington Carver Regional Highschool in Rapidan, Virginia where she completed her 12 years of education. Her life was centered wholeheartedly around church and family. She was a dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church in Abington, PA where she gathered with family and friends every Sunday to praise her Lord and Savior. Jeannette was employed at Asplundh Tree Expert Co. for 41 years as a Title Clerk before retiring. In addition to her work, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, hosting holiday gatherings and summer barbecues, reading The Bible, and her annual trip back home to Virginia for the family reunion. She was preceded in death by her brothers Edward Homer Bailey Jr., Robert Henry Bailey, and sisters Mary Virginia Bailey Brown and Patricia Clarice Norwood. Jeannette leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Bobbie V. Rawls, and her children Jeffery Oliver Pierce, Gregory L. Pierce, Steven Elwood Rawls and Lori Ann Parker; Daughters-in-law Susan Pierce and Adrienne Bowman Rawls; son-in-law David Parker; Grandchildren Danielle Nicole Pierce, Bailey Jane Parker, Steven Ethan Rawls; Great Grandchildren Noah and Carter Cambridge; her sister Anna Marie Davis; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family members. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday March 3, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. Social Distancing and wearing masks will be observed. The family will meet at McGoldrick Funeral Home at 9 AM on Thursday the 4th to form a procession that will travel to Salem Baptist Church in Abington, PA 19001, leaving at 9:30 AM. The Religious Service will be held at 10 AM. The inside seating is limited to 25 people. Anyone wishing to join the procession to the cemetery should be at Salem by 10:30 AM- masks required. Her interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
