Jennie Veronica Affleck

Jennie Veronica Affleck, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, just shy of her 107th birthday! She lived to be 106 years old. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 28,1915, a daughter of the late Jennie (nee Dougherty) and Wilfred Price. She was the widow of Charles William Affleck. They were married for 67 years. Jennie always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Family meant everything to her, closely followed by friends and animals. She always wanted everyone to know they were loved and not alone. Jennie was an avid Phillies fan! The Phillie Phanatic came to her 100th birthday party. She also was a very patriotic American and loved the flag. Jennie will be greatly missed. Jennie is survived by her daughters, Virginia I. Zorger (Richard) and Gloria J. Guy (Donald); Grandchildren, Jennifer S Bird (Martin), Robert W. Homolka, Richard A. Zorger (Lisa), Joyce L. Cesari (Byron); Great-Grandchildren, Evan Zorger, Arielia L. Cesari, and Eric Zorger. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Virginia J. Zorger. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to Jennie’s viewing on Friday, June 3rd at Hoffmann Meyers Givnish Funeral Home; 1770 Brown Ave., Bensalem, PA 19020 from 10-11:00 am followed by her memorial service starting at 11. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Women’s Animal Center; 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
