Jianping Zhang

Jianping Zhang, beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully in 2025 at the age of 63. He was born in 1962 in Inner Mongolia, China, where he spent much of his life devoted to his family, his community, and his passions.

In his youth, Jianping owned and operated a small market shop in his village, where his warmth and dedication made him a cherished part of the community. He once was elected village head, a role he carried with honor and responsibility. He also worked for many years as a forest farm worker, contributing with diligence and humility.

Jianping had a lifelong love for cooking. Gifted with a keen eye and remarkable memory, he mastered culinary skills simply by observing others. His talent and determination inspired him to open and run a small family restaurant, where he served as the head chef. For him, cooking was not just a livelihood but also an expression of joy, creativity, and care for those around him.

Above all, Jianping was a devoted father to his daughter and son. He lived a life of hard work, resilience, and perseverance, always striving to pursue his passions and fulfill his dreams.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, his quiet strength, and his unwavering dedication to his family and community. His legacy of love and determination lives on through his children and the many lives he touched.
