Jo-Ann Provasnik

Jo-Ann Provasnik, 82, of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Elkins Park, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026. Born in Philadelphia on December 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Moritz) Miller and Kenneth Miller.

Jo-Ann was the beloved wife of the late Anton Provasnik and devoted mother of Jennifer (and Craig) and Michael Anton (and Jackie). She was also the loving grandmother of Vivian Anton and her bonus grandchildren Kaleigh, Ethan, and Nikole.

A proud graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, Jo-Ann later earned an associate degree from Arcadia University, where she also worked in the campus library and in the Grey Towers castle at the Center for Education Abroad.

She also had a special love for the Wildwoods and especially for living in "Wildwood by the Sea," a place that brought her many happy memories over the years.

Jo-Ann was deeply involved with St. James Church, her longtime parish in Elkins Park, and was proudly one of the "St. James Moms." She was known for opening her home and her heart to those who needed it, and for making people feel welcome, cared for, and part of the family.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 29, from 9:15 to 10:15 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, both at St. James Church, 8320 Brookside Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
