Joan Ann “Joanne” Breustedt, 81, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Joanne was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 15, 1945, to the late Josephine (Lambert) and Joseph Beers.

She was the beloved wife of Samuel Kirk Breustedt, Jr. for sixty years, spending a lifetime together built on love, laughter, and loyalty. Joanne adored her children and grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She was an avid crafter, spending countless hours crocheting blankets and clothing to gift to friends and family.

Joanne was employed most recently as a typesetter and proofreader for the Bucks County Courier Times and part time at AC Moore Craft store before she retired.

Joanne is survived by her beloved husband, Sam; her children, Samuel (Anne), James, and Scott (Jennifer Henesy); and her grandchildren, Aidan and Alfred. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Hathaway (George), and brother, Joseph Beers.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joanne’s graveside service on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to arrive at the office of the cemetery by 9:30 AM.
