Joan V. Hanrahan

Joan V. Hanrahan age 90 of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Christiana Hospital. Joan was born in Lynbrook, Long Island, NY on September 23, 1931, to the late Vincent and Helen Cappetta. Joan is survived by her husband of 72 years, Arthur R. Hanrahan; 2 children, Betty Mulholland (Matt), and Richard Hanrahan; sister, Marilyn Giampaolo; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Tusi (Jason), Chelsea Mulholland, and Isabella Hanrahan; daughter-in-law, Martina; 4 great grandchildren, Dominick Tusi, Addison Tusi, Colson Tusi and Olivia Wersinger. Joan will always be remembered for her kind and giving heart. She touched many people and made an impact on many over the years. She was the light to our family and always put us before herself. Her family was most important, married to the love of her life, Art who she met in 1946 in Junior High and were together 76 years. She loved her children unconditionally and her grandchildren have countless memories of her beautiful life. She adored her great grandchildren, and her legacy will live on. She worked for Chik Fil A for 16 plus years and was loved by all that she came in contact with. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10-10:50 am Tuesday, April 19, 2022, followed by a funeral mass at 11 am at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.
