Joanne (Weigner) Foraker

Joanne (Weigner) Foraker passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 65. Mrs. Foraker was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a secretary for Derr Lumber and Peoples Cleaners, both in Bridgeport. She also worked at Montgomery Lunch in Norristown, which is where she met her husband, Jim. Joanne was a member of Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, PA. She enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee, word find books and the penny slots at the casinos. Most of all, Joanne put her family first and loved spending time with them. Born in Norristown, PA on March 2, 1952, she was a daughter of Thelma Arlene (Weikel) Weigner of Pennsburg, PA and the late William H. Weigner. She was the wife of the late Paul A. “Jim” Foraker, Sr., who died in 2012. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Tammy A. (William J. III) Walsh of Bridgeport; two sons, Paul A. (Lisa) Foraker, Jr. of Norristown, PA and William F. (Jeanna) Foraker of Collegeville, PA; five grandchildren, Anthony, Kristopher, Katie, Elizabeth and Brian; three great-grandchildren: Noah, Tyler and Elias; three sisters: Linda Smith of Norristown, Donna (Joshua) Myers of Norristown and Debbie (William) Heffron of Boyertown, PA; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her infant son, her brother, and many sisters and brothers-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to Joanne’s Funeral Service at Hope Community Church, 150 E. Beidler Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:00 pm, with a greeting from 2 to 2:50 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church, 150 E. Beidler Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406, for the Tim Tebow Foundation-Night to Shine.
