Joanne Caroline Kerr

Joanne Caroline (Trygstad) Kerr passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at her home in King of Prussia, PA. She was 82. Mrs. Kerr graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA, Class of 1959. She worked as a bookstore manager and was an avid community volunteer. Joanne was a very active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in King of Prussia. She sang for many years with her church as well as the Wayne Oratorio Society. Born in Los Angeles, CA on August 10, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John Adolph and Bertha Karoline (Heggerud) Trygstad. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 60 years, John S. Kerr; 2 sons, David (Claire) Kerr and Sean Kerr; daughter, Kirsten (Daniel) McCurdy; 7 grandchildren: Matthew, Alissa, Alexandra, Diana, Evan, Gregory and Eric; sister, Beryl (James) Trautner; sister-in-law, Jane Trygstad; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Trygstad. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm; with a service starting at 3:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joanne’s memory to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
