Joanne Patricia VanDagna
June 1, 1946 – January 18, 2024
In 1946
On the first of June
Joanne VanDagna was born
Under a crescent moon.
In The Bronx, New York
Bertha and Frank raised their girl.
She became a big sister
When Gerry and Bob joined her world.
She moved to New Jersey
With her family in Englishtown.
Earned a degree at Mercy College,
Became the best teacher around.
She tended to her garden,
Had the best meatball recipe.
She was a sun Goddess by the pool.
And was a QVC VIP.
But nothing brought her more joy
Than hosting guests in her home.
Where friends became family.
Lifelong bonds were sewn.
In recent years she moved
To Douglassville P-A.
To be near her nephew’s family,
Rob, Roni, Troy, and A.J.
On the 18th of January
Two thousand twenty four,
Joanne VanDagna
knocked at heaven’s door.
Greeted by loved ones
She rose in peace.
Where her love never ends
And her presence shan’t cease.
Survived by family
Whose names do not rhyme.
But Robert Frost free-versed,
Therefore so can I.
Nephew Rob, and his wife Roni.
Their sons Troy and AJ.
Goddaughter Debbie Zambelli.
And her beloved shih tzu Snickers.
Sister-In-Law Victoria.
Niece Tracy, and her husband Francis.
Their sons Van and Gerry.
Nephew Dan, and his wife Lisa.
Their son Carson.
Nephew Chris, and his wife Erin.
Their children Anneliese, Marielle, and Jack.
The Kraus cousins.
With whom she shared many memories.
