John W. Birnbrauer

John W. Birnbrauer passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 81. Mr. Birnbrauer worked as an Eastern Regional Manager for Maybelline Cosmetics. He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. John was a graduate of LaSalle College and a member of the West Catholic Alumni Society. He was an avid Eagles fan and was a season ticket holder since 1960. He was also a Phillies and Flyers fan and a coin collector. Mr. Birnbrauer was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1955 to 1963. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 16, 1932, he was a son of the late John W. and Marie (Bugy) Birnbrauer, Sr. He was the husband of the late Joan (O'Brien) Birnbrauer. Surviving is his loving family including two sons, John W. Birnbrauer, III of King of Prussia, PA and Karl Birnbrauer and his wife, Desireé, of Pottstown, PA; two daughters, Cathy A. McNabb and her husband, Thomas, of King of Prussia, PA and Mary Beth ""M"" Birnbrauer of King of Prussia, PA; six grandchildren: Kendee, Christie, Michael, Jaime, Amber and Dalton; a great-grandson, Bruce; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Claire and Nancy. Relatives and friends are invited to John's Prayer Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor of Mother of Divine Providence Church. His viewing is Saturday from 9 to 10:20 am, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion Twp., PA. The family requests that anyone attending the service wear their favorite Philadelphia Eagles or sports team apparel.
