In Loving Memory
John "Jack" Nathan Campbell passed away peacefully at his home in Lansdale, PA, on the morning of September 13, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born on July 26, 1930, in Baltimore, MD, as a young man Jack served in the army as a radio operator stationed in Alaska and then as a pilot in the US Air Force, and he continued to fulfill his thirst for airborne adventure as a recreational pilot well into retirement. He also enjoyed a variety of outdoor hobbies such as camping and fishing, along with a love of RVing and cross-country travel.
Jack found professional success in a variety of fields, working variously as a teacher and a lawyer, and ultimately building a 40-year career as a commercial banking executive at Midlantic Bank in Philadelphia, achieving the title of Senior VP of Pension and Profit-sharing.
He is survived by loving wife Frances Elaine Campbell; their three children, Donna, Naomi, and John, and their spouses; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of lifelong learning and pursuit of everyday adventure. Jack never hesitated to explore all that life had to offer, and he will be fondly remembered for his agile mind and sense of humor, as much as his characteristic vitality, determination, and generosity.
A celebration of his life and legacy will be held in accordance with his wishes at a future date. Donations in his honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
