John P. Connolly

John P. Connolly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra, PA. He was 83. Mr. Connolly was a former resident of King of Prussia, PA and Forked River, NJ. His life career was in banking, last working for Main Line Federal Savings in Villanova, PA. John was a former member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. He was also a social member of the Gilbertsville Fire Co. John enjoyed fishing and belonged to various fishing clubs. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, serving as a 1st Lieutenant. Born in Plainfield, NJ on September 16, 1931, he was a son of the late John P. Connolly Sr. and Elizabeth (Batula) Connolly. He was the husband of the late Mary B. (Santillo) Connolly, who died in 2007. Surviving is his loving family including two nephews and seven nieces. He was preceded in death by an infant son, John P. Connolly, III; and two sisters, Patricia Bates and Mary V. Connolly.Relatives & friends are invited to John's Funeral Mass at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Worship Site, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 am. His viewing will be Saturday morning from 10 to 10:50 am, at the worship site.
