John D. (Jack) Dicaprio

John (Jack) DiCaprio 1941-2016 John “Jack” DiCaprio of Jeffersonville, formerly of South Philadelphia passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Einstein Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 74. He graduated from Bishop Neumann High School, class of 1959 and was a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. He was a co-owner and President of Quality Control at Transicoil Inc. in Worcestor, PA. Jack was an energetic person who continued to develop new interests and hobbies throughout his life. An avid reader, he loved reading the bible. He loved movies, and especially John Wayne. John loved riding his horses.  He traveled extensively and enjoyed cruising with his wife. He and his wife wintered in Florida the past twelve years. He led a full and successful life. He is predeceased by his parents, Rose Mollettieri and John DiCaprio. He leaves behind his loving wife, Marion (Daly) DiCaprio, a son, John Francis DiPietro (Danuta), and a daughter, Dana DiCaprio. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Emily Ann and Julian John DiPietro. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:45am for a viewing at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 South Trooper Rd, Norristown (Audubon), followed by mass at 10am. Father Edward J. Kelly, a high school friend, will officiate the ceremony.  Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in John’s memory to the American Heart Association.
