John J. Eliff

John J. Eliff passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his residence in Norristown, PA. He was 89. Mr. Eliff attended Duke University, Muhlenberg College and Lehigh University. He was the Math and Science supervisor at Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington, NJ. John was a member of St. Paul R. C. Church in Norristown. Mr. Eliff was a US Navy veteran of WW II.Born in Bridgeport, PA on February 17, 1925, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Rodgers) Eliff. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Pauline C. (Kozak) Eliff; two daughters, Linda S. Triolo and her husband, James, of Flemington, NJ and Lisa G. Young and her husband, Michael, of Cottonwood, AZ; a step-son, Kenneth Schreffler and his wife, Melanie, of South Hampton, PA; two grandchildren, Brian & Kevin Dewan; five great-grandchildren: Claire, Abigail, Patrick, Grace & Mary Margaret; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Estelle (Fonock) Eliff, who died in 1975; a daughter, Marsha Dewan; son-in-law, David Dewan; step-son, David Schreffler; three brothers: Daniel, Francis & Connie Eliff; and two sisters, Dorothy Finnin & Grace Dolores Wanzyck.John's Funeral Mass and burial will be private at the request of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.www.bacchifuneralhome.com
