John Erdek, Jr.

John Erdek, Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 90. Mr. Erdek worked as a Quality Control Inspector for the Ford Motor Co. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport, PA. John enjoyed gardening, polka dancing and playing with his grandchildren. Born in Slovakia on August 26, 1926, he was a son of the late John Erdek, Sr. and Suzanne Erdek. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 51 years, Maryann (Pawlishyn) Erdek; a son, John M. Erdek of Wayne, PA; a daughter, Diane Parnell and her husband, Todd, of Orlando, FL; and three grandchildren: Peyton Erdek and Sarah & Zachary Parnell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Erdek. Relatives & friends are invited to John’s Divine Liturgy at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. His viewing will be Wednesday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to SS.
