John P. Farley

John P. Farley passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 51. John’s passion was cooking and he worked as an executive chef for Basil Bistro & Bar in Paoli, PA. He enjoyed all things Villanova and the Philadelphia Eagles, and he had a great sense of adventure. His cat, “Jack the cat”, was his pride and joy. When asked about his life and illness, John answered, “I want to finish strong.” Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 13, 1965, he was a son of James J. Farley and the late Anne R. (Smith) Farley. Surviving is his father, James (Marilyn) of Savannah, GA; a brother, James (Carol) Farley of Savannah, GA; three sisters: Maryanne (William) Schweidel of King of Prussia, Maureen (Michael) OBrien of Orlando, FL and Theresa (Edmund) DeAngelo of King of Prussia; and many other loving family members. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10:30 am. His viewing will be Monday morning from 9 to 10:15 am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to Main Line Health Hospice, 240 Radnor Chester Road, Suite 100, Radnor, PA 19087.
