It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of John “Jack” H. Clark, Sr. Jack passed away unexpectedly in Wilmington, Delaware on the evening of Thursday, April 13th, 2023 after an accident that occurred while he was performing his duties as a landscaper.
Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Hardwick Clark Baker and father, John Joseph Clark. Jack is survived by his sisters, Nancy Clark Dickson and Susan Yun; his forever friend Cheryl Clark; his three children, John “Jack” Clark Jr. and his wife Maura, Amanda Weaver, and Joseph Clark and his wife Maritza “Mo”; his 6 grandchildren, Brady Clark, Caitlin Clark, Jackson Weaver, Hailey Weaver, Juliana Clark and Calvin Clark; we well as a number of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Jack was a loving and caring father, brother, and friend. Jack has touched many lives across various communities that really were like family to him. Just a few to note would be the Bluedogs, the “St. Helena’s Crew”, his A.I. High School crew and his Peco’s family. He is remembered as a man of integrity who could always be counted on. While the loss felt by Jack’s passing will be a profound one, his memory will be everlasting.
As per his wishes, Jack’s bodily remains will be cremated. Therefore, there will be no funeral service. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Eagles Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles #74, 415 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 on Sunday, April 30th from 2-6 PM. Any and all who knew and loved Jack is welcome.
