John "Jack" L. Lawder

John “Jack” L. Lawder, Sr., longtime resident of Audubon passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Marguerite “Peg” Lawder (nee Ryba). Jack was born in Murphysboro, Illinois on March 21, 1934, a son of the late Fortis M. and Celeste Lawder (nee G’Sell). Jack is survived by his daughter Margaret Lawder, and his sons John Lawder Jr. (Diane) and William Lawder (Wendi), his grandchildren Jessica, Christian, Gina, Adrianna, Kalliann, Christina, Kara and his great granddaughters Joleina, Aaliyah and Kehlani. Jack is also survived by his brother, Fortis M. “Mike” Lawder (Joan), his beloved sister-in-law Marilyn Spiciarich (John), multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. Jack was a proud graduate of Villanova University, class of 1956. He was a devoted fan of the Villanova Men’s basketball team. After college, Jack proudly served his country as a United States Marine for 2 years. Jack retired from the Iacobucci Corporation and was able to enjoy retirement with his beloved Peg. He was a well-liked and respected member of his community in Audubon and St. Teresa of Avila Church. Most importantly, Jack was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 North Park Ave. Trooper, PA 19403. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila Church 1260 South Trooper Rd. Norristown, PA. Interment Private.
