John Patrick Leahy

After a long illness, John Patrick “Pat” Leahy passed away at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, PA on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the age of 72. Pat is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary (Turley) Molyneaux-Leahy; her son, Sean Padriac Molyneaux, his wife, Heather and their children, Kaylah, Madison and Mason of Downingtown, PA; a daughter, Erin Leahy Baskay, her husband, Christopher and their children, Riley and Collin of Norwalk, CT; three sons: Dr. Christopher Leahy and his wife, Sharon of Corning, NY, Stephen Leahy of Baltimore, MD and Thomas Leahy, his wife, Heather, and children, Ericka and Tyler, of Nottingham, MD; four brothers: Michael Leahy of Canyon Counry, CA, James Leahy of Rising Sun, MD, Sean Leahy of Taneytown, MD and Kevin Leahy of Reisterstown, MD; a sister, Kerry Krebs of Cameron, MI; and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth (Ferguson) Leahy; and a sister, Kathy (Leahy) Lansinger. Pat was born in Baltimore, MD on October 3, 1944. He graduated from Catonsville High School in Catonsville, MD and attended the University of Maryland. He served in the US Army National Guard. He enjoyed his work as a Telecommunication Manager for various corporations. Pat enjoyed sports, especially baseball and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoyed golf and golf outings with his Farley Open Friends. Pat liked reading and always had a book in his hand. He especially loved spending time with his family in Venice, Florida and Ocean City, New Jersey! The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9 to 9:50 am, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 50 Walker Rd., Wayne, PA 19087. His Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pat’s memory to a charity of your choice.
