John F. Martyn

John Francis Martyn John Francis Martyn, 71, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19th, 2017. John was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 29, 1945, a son of the late Miriam (Schmieg) and William Martyn, and brother of the late James. He was employed as a Probation Officer for 35 years retiring in 2006, and worked at Joseph’s Pizza and Sally’s Flower shop for many years. He was proud to be a part of the Men of Malvern, and was a devoted member of St. Matthew Church for many years. John is survived by his siblings William, Joseph (Elizabeth), Mary Pace, Rev. George Martyn, OSFS, Thomas (Patricia), Catherine Pezzano (Robert) and his sister-in-law Patricia Martyn. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a visitation for Family & Friends on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 9:30-10:20 AM and a funeral mass at 10:30 AM both at St. Matthew Church 3000 Cottman Ave. in Philadelphia, PA.
